We just checked with Min. of Forests and the word is that March 31st is being considered as the deadline for burning. The date is not official yet, but it's a heads-up to everyone who is trying to get their felled trees and ground fuels cleaned up. Once the ban is in effect it will mean no machine piles OR hand piles. The only size of fire that will be allowed will be a small campfire within a ring of stones. Being as this really shortens the time we all have to work on getting fire-safe, we thought we'd pass the word.
